LANICO (Latvian Norwegian Intercultural Cooperation) exchange events and learning processes lasted for 2 school years. Teachers, nurses and students from Cesis Hospital, Raiskums Sanatorium (boarding school), Latvia and Mysen Upper Secondary School, Norway were involved in all the activities.
“We had a focus on the historical, economical background of the two countries, we learned about the EU, we learned about each other learning methods and working methods and we also had a focus on the welfare system in both countries” – says one of the project initiators teacher Christin Arnesen from Mysen Secondary School.
Now the project is closed, but the experience and memories people gained during the project will never disappear. People get more educated, they start to see their home places in lighter colors, they get new ideas, opportunities and inspiration. This is how communities become more attractive everyday.
